Hi, my name is Katie and I live in Milton Keynes, England.

I first discovered silk painting when it was introduced to me by my art teacher during my A level exams. I loved it from my first brush stroke and soon became hooked, ending up submitting all of my final paintings on silk.

The whole process is so enjoyable and quite often, because of the nature of the painting, I find that I end up with something completely different from what I intended it to be, so there’s always a little element of surprise involved!

After finishing school I continued to paint as a hobby and now I find myself wanting to paint more and more, experimenting with colours, effects and freehand painting (using no gutta) and would love to one day, set up my own silk painting business.

I have had paintings commisioned and have several happy customers to date - I hope to have some more soon!
